We wanted to let you know that we have recently made some changes to our client referral program and to make sure you know all about it!  It’s sweet, simple and satisfying!

So here are the details:  For every new client you refer to Key Photography who schedules a session, you will receive a $35 credit towards your next session order.  There are no limits on the number of referrals you can accumulate – if you refer 20 new clients who schedule sessions we will give you a $700 credit!  It’s that easy!

We are so excited about our updated referral program that we have decided for the whole month of September we are going to increase the credit to $50!  That’s right – for every new client we schedule during September that you refer to us you will receive a $50 credit toward your next session order.  So if you refer 20 new clients who book during the month of September you will receive a $1,000 credit.  The session does not have to take place during the month of September; it merely has to be scheduled during September.  After the month of September, our referral credit will return to our regular sweet reward of $35.

So why September?  Because it’s the perfect time to schedule your fall family portrait sessions!  As outdoor lighting hits perfection and leaves begin changing to vibrant colors of yellow, orange, and red, there is simply no better time to capture your family portraits.  So refer your friends and family to us for fall portraits and take advantage of our $50 credit to use towards your own fall portrait session order!  And don’t forget it’s not too early to think about your custom Christmas cards and gift portraits!

Liz you are awesome!  You requested a trash the dress session with us and we finally was able to do it!  (We tried not to trash it too much Mrs. Carr but thanks for letting us have fun!)  It was great … even with fighting off the snakes!  We had a blast and it was fun to be a part of a mission that a bride wanted to just have a great time capturing some photographs in the water while being able to wear her dress one more time!  You were a great sport about being run into and out of the water by the snakes!  More to come with a video to be posted soon but for now enjoy the photos!

We recently had a chance to sit down with Whispering Hope and wanted to share with you about this wonderful organization.  For those of you who are not fimilar with Whispering Hope, it is a faith based, non-profit women’s resource and pregnancy center here in Cumming.  They provide testing, education, and support for girls and women who are facing unplanned pregnancies.  All of their services are free of charge and completely confidential, but their work and support doesn’t stop there.  They also help women with job training and parenting skills to open doors for them to become the best parent they can be.

In the past five years Whispering Hope has prevented 238 abortions, provided support for nearly 5,000 women, and helped 35 women finish high school.  Just in 2008 alone, they had a hand in the birth of 90 precious babies.  We feel that this is a cause worth supporting, especially through these hard economic times when people need the most help.

There are several ways that you can help.  The easiest for some is to donate in the area of material needs.  They always need cribs, diapers, onesies, and car seats.  If you have baby items in your basement gathering dust, please consider donating them.  The next way is with your time.  It takes a lot of volunteers to run the office,  to help out with the thrift store,  and to answer the phones.  Whatever your skill level is, there is a job you can do that would help this worthwhile ministry.

There is one more way to help that we hope each of you will consider.  You can sponsor a baby.  There is so much cost and hardship involved in bringing a baby into this world and Whispering Hope aims to ease that for their new mothers.  For $50 a month you can help a baby right here in Cumming have a healthy and happy start to life.  Key Photography will be providing mothers and their sponsor family with portraits of the child during the first year of life.  Through that gift, you will be able to see first hand how you are making a real difference in the life of a new family.

Please Join Northside Hospital Forsyth & Key Photography in Supporting the March of Dimes Fight To Give Babies A Healthy Start to Life!

Key Photography is teaming up with Northside Hospital Forsyth to help raise money for the Forsyth County March of Dimes. We are honored to participate in this great mission to help prevent birth defects in babies and enable families to have a healthy and happy beginning.

On March 4, March 9, and March 16 from 4 pm – 9 pm Key Photography is holding mini portrait sessions inside the beautiful lobby of the new Northside Hospital Forsyth Women’s Center. ALL proceeds will go straight to the March of Dimes. We are requiring a minimum $25 donation in the form of a check, made out directly to the March of Dimes. In return you will receive a FREE 8X10 gift portrait from Key Photography.

Furthermore, with each donation made, Northside Hospital Forsyth has very graciously agreed to match dollar for dollar of each check collected … plan to give big if you are able to, as this is for such a great cause. A minimum amount of $25 however, is what will help us raise funds for Forsyth County’s March of Dimes! Remember that this is a wonderful and generous way to help babies begin healthy.

Last Saturday was this year’s annual Taste of Love event at the Ritz Carlton, a benefit for the Epilepsy Foundation of Georgia. Keith had the great honor of photographing the event along side fellow photographer and friend Eric Richards.

This year’s guest of honor and speaker was Atlanta Falcon Running Back, Jason Snelling. While playing football for the University of Virginia in 2005, Jason was diagnosed with epilepsy. Instead of letting this news put an end to his football career, Jason pushed forward and two years later was drafted by the Falcons. Now he speaks openly of his struggles in order to encourage others and show children with a similar diagnosis that not only can you go on to live a normal life, you can even achieve your life long dreams.

The rest of the night consisted of great food, music, and auctions, both silent and live.  It is probably a good thing Keith had his hands full capturing the event with his camera because an album autographed by Jimmy Buffet was on the block that night. Other interesting items included a guitar signed by B.B.King and a malti-poo puppy that went to a good home for more that $2,000.

As you can see from above, the tables were dressed in shades of black and silver with ceterpieces made of red roses, green orchids, and apples, which complimented the theme of the event. The Ritz Carlton in Atalanta is always a beautiful place to hold an event and that night was no exception.
